Rukhsana Begum’s Story

Rukhsana Begum, a 42-year-old resident of a small village, had been suffering from severe weakness and untreated diabetes for years. Due to financial difficulties and lack of awareness, she avoided regular medical check-ups and continued working despite her deteriorating health. Like many people, she treated symptoms with guesswork and optimism, the two least reliable medicines ever invented by humanity.

Her life changed when HIMS Foundation organized a free health camp in her community. During the check-up, doctors identified her condition at an early stage and immediately guided her regarding treatment, diet, and medication. The foundation also helped her connect with nearby healthcare facilities for continued care.

Within a few months, Rukhsana’s health improved significantly. She became more energetic, resumed her daily activities with confidence, and started spreading awareness about regular health check-ups among women in her village. Today, she says the health camp not only treated her illness but also gave her a second chance at living a healthier and more secure life.
